Shri Pundlikraoji Kale, Founder President of this Educational Institution, established new Education Society named Gramin Vikas Shikshan and Krida Prasarak Mandal, Khadki, Akola in 1984 with the aim of providing education to the poor and backward community of this region. The Institute is registered under The Societies Registration Act,1860 with the Registration No. MHR/1117/Akola on Date . It is offering education in Social Work since 1993-1994. With the initiative of visionary Ex- Principal, Dr. Suresh P. Kale, The Founder Secretary of the society, dreams to provide social work education at Under Graduate and Post Graduate level to students Tribal, Rural & Urban community.
Social Work Ideals are based on respect for all people’s equality, worth and dignity. The Inspiration and rationale social work involvement are human rights and social justice.
Our college Smt. Panchfuladevi Patil Social Work College, Khadki, Akola Affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. Our college is getting grant in aid from Social welfare department, government of Maharashtra from 2008 for salary & non-salary expenditure. We provide B.S.W. and M.S.W. education with intake capacity of 80 students for both the degrees. Now a days, this is the only one Social Work Institution in Akola District. The objectives of the course are focused on preparing the candidates for a career as a professionally trained social worker and are aimed at developing in them attitudes and value necessary for working with people and organization for achieving the goals of the social work profession. To prepare students for entry-level ecologically-based generalist practice at all levels of intervention (individuals, groups, families, organizations, and communities), utilizing a liberal arts foundation.
We also provide a platform to our students by giving them an opportunity to face the challenges of the world. They are also trained to find out the accessibility to work for Human Rights, Aids, Child Labor, Prisoners, Family Counseling, Blinds, Tribal, Slums and other welfare activities.
Though various activities and programmes the hidden potential of the students are located and opportunities are given to them to be in touch with the global environment.

TEACHERS AND THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Whoever adopts teaching as a profession assumes the obligation to conduct himself / herself in accordance with the ideal of the profession. A teacher is constantly under the scrutiny of his students and the society at large. Therefore, every teacher should see that there is no incompatibility between his precepts and practice. The national ideals of education which have already been set forth and which he/she should seek to inculcate among students must be his/her own ideals. The profession further requires that the teachers should be calm, patient and communicative by temperament and amiable in disposition.
- Adhere to a responsible pattern of conduct and demeanour expected of them by the community;
- Manage their private affairs in a manner consistent with the dignity of the profession;
- Seek to make professional growth continuous through study and research;
- Express free and frank opinion by participation at professional meetings, seminars, conferences etc. towards the contribution of knowledge;
- Maintain active membership of professional organizations and strive to improve education and profession through them;
- Perform their duties in the form of teaching, tutorial, practical, seminar and research work conscientiously and with dedication;
- Co-operate and assist in carrying out functions relating to the educational responsibilities of the college and the university such as: assisting in appraising applications for admission, advising and counselling students as well as assisting the conduct of university and college examinations, including supervision, invigilation and evaluation; and
- Participate in extension, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities including community service.

- Respect the right and dignity of the student in expressing his/her opinion;
- Deal justly and impartially with students regardless of their religion, caste, political, economic, social and physical characteristics;

- Speak respectfully of other teachers and render assistance for professional betterment;
- Refrain from lodging unsubstantiated allegations against colleagues to higher authorities; and
- Refrain from allowing considerations of caste, creed, religion, race or sex in their professional endeavour.

Teachers should…
- Discharge their professional responsibilities according to the existing rules and adhere to procedures and methods consistent with their profession in initiating steps through their own institutional bodies and/or professional organizations for change of any such rule detrimental to the professional interest;
- Refrain from undertaking any other employment and commitment including private tuitions and coaching classes which are likely to interfere with their professional responsibilities;
- Co-operate in the formulation of policies of the institution by accepting various offices and discharge responsibilities which such offices may demand;
- Co-operate through their organizations in the formulation of policies of the other institutions and accept offices;
